Luxury Villas in Tuscany

In a region soaked with history and surrounded by stunning scenery, in the heart of Tuscany itself there is a timeless tradition of hospitality. This is a place where guests are greeted with open arms and genuine warmth, making the visitor feel like part of something much bigger than themselves–partaking in this tradition becomes an event in and of itself. Although it may be natural for us to focus on the beauty found within Tuscany’s landscapes such as rolling hills covered in vineyards or olive trees dotting those same slopes; even so much more captivating are medieval towns that seem frozen between centuries past along with their Renaissance art treasures waiting around every corner but what really sets apart this Italian region from others lies not only these things but also people who live here too. Whether one dines at Michelin level restaurants while indulging oneself served up alongside some Chianina beef steak Florentine style or decides instead explore ancient cities filled only with ghosts; perhaps preferring spend lazy afternoons basking under sun rays next to swimming pool located inside private villa rented out exclusively for week long holiday–whatever activities chosen during stay within this multi faceted province nothing will ever match spirit surrounding friendly atmosphere which permeates everything done throughout our time spent here.

Essential Travel Guide

Where to Stay in Tuscany

This is one of the top questions we receive almost daily. It all depends on your travel plans so, we ask you to consider the following questions:

  • How many days will you be in Tuscany?

  • Is this your first time to Italy and thus interested in the main sights or do you also want to include some off-the beaten path areas in Tuscany on a return trip?

  • Are you up to driving here or prefer to depend on public transport?

We generally suggest to stay an entire week since most of the luxury villas have a 7 night min and also to have time to explore this amazing region. There are the cities to explore, such as Florence, Siena, Pisa and Arezzo as well as entire regions, such as Chianti and Val d’Orcia. Of course, not everyone can dedicate all of these days to the region, but if you do have some flexibility, try to get more days in Tuscany rather than less.

If you have more days to spend that is wonderful! Then we recommend dividing up the time and finding two bases, one further north and one in the southern part of the region, so that you can spend more time exploring the immediate areas closer to you in each part.

Why Visit Tuscany

  • Tuscany Has Breathtaking Landscapes
  • Historical Game Changers Can Be Found in Tuscany
  • Awe-inspiring Architecture
  • Tuscany’s Art Abundance
  • It’s the Birthplace of the Italian Language

The Best time to Visit Tuscany

Mid to late spring (April-May) and early autumn (September-October), are the finest periods to visit Tuscany. During these moments, the Tuscan landscape is most alive, and weather conditions are quite delightful with temperatures around 63°F to 79°F.

Where Are located the Best Villas in Tuscany?

For the region’s standout villages — and more world-class wine than you could ever drink — opt for chianti or montepulciano. And though they’re hardly secret, you can’t go wrong with a plush pad near Radda in Chianti, Cortona or San Gimignano. Or for Tyrrhenian Sea views and plentiful beaches, head west to the lesser-visited coast between Livorno and Massa. A pool is also an absolute must, as is an alfresco dining area, because a stay in Tuscany is for eating and drinking outside, absorbing the pink sunset and celebrating times together with friends and family.

The Best Beaches in Tuscany and where are located

Tuscany is absolutely heart-stopping year-round. And, although it is primarily known for its ravishing cascading hills, mind-blowing countryside, Renaissance towns, and medieval villages with the fortresses and castles standing like watchful guardians over the centuries, it is also home to some of the most hypnotising beaches in Italy.

This actually acts like a bonus for all visitors, giving them two options – one is to travel inland and explore the beauties of this gorgeous region or head to the Tuscan coast and pamper yourself with endless kilometres of glorious sandy shores.

Along the way, expect to be mind-blown by charming marinas, wild beaches, untouched bays, and options for all kinds of travellers, from solo to couples to families to groups of friends. Below are some of the most idyllic Tuscany beaches to help inspire your next Italian escapade or holiday.

Is Tuscany Good for a Honeymoon?

A honeymoon in Tuscany is a romantic experience with rolling green hills, charming medieval hill towns, and rich cultural adventures. Tuscany offers a diverse range of activities, from exploring historical sites from the Middle Ages and museums to savoring exquisite cuisine and wine.

Why Tuscany is good for families

Tuscany is an enchanting region in Italy that offers a perfect blend of culture, history, and natural beauty. Tuscany is one of the biggest provinces in Italy. When planning a family vacation to Tuscany, it’s important to choose the right location to stay with your kids to ensure there is a range of kid-friendly activities and amenities, such as shopping, close enough to be convenient. From charming hilltop towns to seaside resorts, we’ve put together a guide to help you decide where to stay in Tuscany with kids.

Best Things to do in Tuscany

See (and climb) the leaning tower of Pisa

If you’re wondering what to do in Tuscany in terms of top tourist attractions, if there’s one monument at which many opt to take a ‘cheesy’ tourist photo at, it’s the leaning tower of Pisa (known in Italian as Torre pendente di Pisa).

Ride a vespa through the countryside

If you’re looking for a romantic sojourn that can be taken at your own leisure, then you may well consider booking a vespa to drive through the countryside. Tuscany activities can be as independent as you like and renting a vespa will allow you to voyage through the Italian region without the crowds.

Admire the many hilltop towns dotted across Tuscany

From medieval castles to centuries old churches, Tuscany boasts a wide array of stunning towns, many of which are worth exploring, if only for a few hours. Though many can be visited as a day trip from Florence, most are worth exploring over the course of a couple of days so as to really get a feel for the place.

Enjoy a foodie tour of Tuscany

If you truly want to have your tastebuds tickled when in Tuscany, then you’ll want to discover the fantastic foodie scene that this area of the boot-shaped country offers up.

Of course, while food in Italy is world famous thanks to its rich flavours and deliciousness, food from the Tuscan region really is the crème de la crème of Italian cuisine.

Indulge in a gelato

Though we may have already discussed food, there’s one Italian food that deserves its own highlight in this guide to the best of Tuscany. Gelato is a special kind of creamy frozen dessert which is known around the world for its dense richness thanks to the fact that it typically contains 70% less air than many other types if ice cream

Go wine tasting in Chianti

If you’re an oenophile then there’s one thing you won’t want to miss during your time in Tuscany and it’s the wine, specifically that made in Chianti. The Chianti region is world-famous and can be found roughly between Florence and Siena. Must see Tuscany doesn’t get much more iconic than this!

Go truffle hunting

One of the most unusual foodie treasures to be found in the Tuscany region is that of the luxurious truffle. Truffle is translated into Italian as ‘il tartufo’ and, though Italian truffles are available all year ’round in Toscano, they are much more abundant during the winter months.

Explore the hidden gems (and tourist traps) of Florence

Tuscany attractions don’t get more classic than Florence. Known as ‘Firenze’ in Italian, the city of Florence is the capital of Tuscany and is a must-visit on any trip to Italy. After all, the Renaissance settlement is easily one of the best places to visit in Tuscany.

Explore some of Tuscany’s castles

As with much of Europe, Tuscany is no stranger to castles and many fortresses and stunning buildings can be found, dotted across the entirety of the region.

Take a cooking or baking class

Italian food is world-famous thanks to its simplicity and great taste. Florence is particular is reputed for its Bistecca alla Fiorentina, Florentine beefsteak.

Go antique shopping

Those searching for beautiful antiques and vintage wares will also be delighted to discover that, on the first Sunday of the month (and the Saturday before it), there’s a fantastic antiques market that is widely considered to be the best in Tuscany.
