Welcome to Amankila!
Amankila boasts a breathtaking hilltop spot in the historic Karangasem Regency, on Bali’s east coast, the sacred Mount Agung as its backdrop and spectacular views of the Lombok Strait. Amankila was inspired by the water palace nearby Ujung and the Balinese culture. What makes this resort unique is the fact that it stretches from hilltop to private beach, the property lies within reach of atmospheric temples and artisan villages.

At Amankila there are 33 suites and the suites are raised on stilts and thatched with alang-alang, nine of them have private pools. The suites boast ocean and garden views and consummate privacy. The suites are decorated with inlaid pearl and coconut-shell furniture and the feature canopied king size beds.
The Amankila suite features two bedrooms that open into a large terrace perfect for guests that want to have privacy or for two couples who wish to stay together.

The restaurant opens for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and boasts views of the ocean. The cuisine is Western and Indonesian featuring the catch of the day and locally reared meats (suckling pig, Wahyu beef and duck). The Herbs, fruit and vegetables come from the kitchen garden.
The bar features magnificent views of the ocean, ideal for prep-and post-dinner drinks.
The Terrace is open for lunch and features a selection of Asian and Western fare.
The Beach Club is open for lunch. It is a covered restaurant that serves salads, pizzas and Indonesian and light Western dishes. It is the perfect setting for private events, decorated at with night with floating candles and Balinese lanterns.
Arrange your meal in-suite 24 hours a day. The private bale in the hills beyond the resort is perfect for a picnic.
At Amankila you can choose to spend your time at the Beach Club that you can reach walking or by buggy. There are eight lounging bales set on the volcanic sand beach. The swimming pool is a 41 -metre lap pool with extensive sports equipment.
The SPA is a traditional Balinese facility tath offers massage and beauty treatments also available in-suite.
The gym is located in the Fitness pavilion equipped with a treadmill, an elliptical trainer and free weights. YOGA sessions are offered at the beachside pavilion or at in-suite.
The library is located overlooking the swimming pool with floor-to-ceiling windows and oversize daybeds.
During your stay at Amankila you can choose from an array of activities and excursions. Water sports are provided at the beach club (stand up paddle boards, Hobie Cats and boogie boards. Guides are available for your next diving adventures. If you like to explore and cruise around, two juking-style outriggers (Aman XII and Aman XIV) are available for your next adventure.
Trekking is ideal in this location that boasts unique hikes through the villages, tropical forests and terraced rice paddies. Guides are available.

You can reach Amankila by plane from the international airport in Denpasar, the drive to the resort should take an hour. Flights from the US tend to stopover in Singapore or Hong Kong. The airport is served by carriers including Garuda, Singapore Airlines, Jetstar, and JAL. If you need one, visas can be bought on arrival, so have cash with you if necessary. Hotel transfers are free.
By car, Denpasar is 130km away; Kuta is 120km away.
