Where we are located
Our main office is located in Pordenone, Italy.
Pordenone was a fief of the Holy Roman Empire, passed to Venice in 1508, and became part of the Kingdom of Italy in 1866. Pordenone has many fine Roman-Gothic and Venetian palaces, including the Palazzo Comunale (1291) with its picture gallery. The 13th–14th-century campanile of the 15th-century cathedral that is a national monument. Both cathedral and gallery contain paintings by the Renaissance artist Pordenone, whose birthplace the city was.
Friuli Venezia Giulia
The region of Friuli Venezia Giulia is located in the North-East of Italy, bordering Austria to the North, Slovenia to the East, the Adriatic Sea to the South, and the Veneto region to the West. Pordenone is a 35 minutes drive to Venice.
FVG is known for the cultured cities, natural landscapes and that fascinating Slovenian-Croatian-Austrian-Italian cultural mash up that you can find the in the cities like Trieste, Pordenone, Aquileia, Udine and Gorizia and also the small towns.
There are two major airports that serve this region and that is why we believe our office location is strategical, so we can fly out to different countries. Our business started in Costa Rica, Guanacaste, where the CEO and Founder Sabrina lived with her family for four years. We also have extensive knowledge of United States where we spent 10 years living in the major cities like Boston, Orlando, Miami, St. Louis. Plus we are near and go often to Croatia, Lake Como, Lake of Garda, Verona, Venice and many more locations where we can be sure to assist our guests.
We never get tired to have a coffee in Trieste. A city that was under the Habsburgs during the 18th and 19th centuries. It is a cosmopolitan city where James Joyce finished Dubliners and began Ulysses, such as Caffè San Marco. Trieste is the hometown of the Illy espresso.
Aquileia is one of our favourites locations if we want to go back in time. The highlight is an exquisite 4th-century mosaic floor preserved in a 12th-century Gothic basilica which, at 760 square metres, is one of the largest Roman mosaics in the world. Glass walkways allow you to admire the astonishingly vivid depictions of episodes from the Bible, lagoon sealife and wealthy patrons.
Friuli Venezia Giulia offers also great wines like the Ribolla Gialla and the Malvasia. The Collio Goriziano, Colli Orientale and Carso DOCs (certified growing regions) are less than an hour’s drive apart, but offer an incredible variety of landscapes and winemaking styles.
How about the prosciutto Crudo San Daniele? San Daniele’s nutty hams have found worldwide fame, and inspired an annual festival, the Aria di Festa.
We love this region and we can’t miss Spritz-o-clock with the festive Veneziana – Aperol and prosecco – drunk at terrace tables from 11am topped with Prosciutto and Montasio Cheese.
We hope we gave you some good reasons why our location is in this region. We often go to Calabria. We travel monthly to the different Italian regions. Each Italian region has its season!! Do you agree?
