The entire route from SJD is paved: a steep but well-maintained cobblestone road leads up into Pedregal after passing through town and along the Transpeninsular Highway toward Cabo San Lucas. The last 1-2 km are winding, hilly residential streets; a standard sedan can easily navigate the roads, but a comfortable SUV is preferred over very low-profile sports cars for both comfort and clearance.
