This four-bedroom beachfront villa, which is situated right on the sand in the gated community of El Encanto, just outside San José del Cabo, feels more like your own private beach club than a typical vacation house.

The sound of the Sea of Cortez rolling a short distance from your terrace in the morning, with the beach still completely silent and the sky turning pink over the water, is how mornings start.

The terrace overlooking the ocean is the focal point of Casa Cielo. Whether you’re swimming, soaking, or lounging on a lounger with a book, you can enjoy an uninterrupted view of the sea from the private infinity-edge pool and Jacuzzi situated just above the sand.

With broad decks for chaise longues, a covered outdoor dining area, and an integrated fire pit that serves as the ideal gathering place after dusk, there is ample room for both sun and shade. In the evenings, the fire pit, the sound of the waves, and the stars over the Sea of Cortez make it simple to forget that anyone else is around at all. You can spend the day floating between the sand, the pool, and the hot tub without ever feeling like you’ve “left” the house.

Casa Cielo’s interior design aims to keep your focus on the water. The view, light, and breeze are always present because the main living room and indoor dining area are nearly completely open through large sliding glass doors. Soft whites, sand, and stone make up the deliberately neutral décor, keeping the blues outside front and center. Without even getting dressed, you can watch the sun rise over the Sea of Cortez from the shared terrace of two master suites on the upper level.

Two more bedrooms downstairs offer plenty of space for visitors, including a detached bedroom with a private entrance that is ideal for staff, older teens, or couples seeking a little more privacy. With four bedrooms and about four and a half bathrooms, Casa Cielo can accommodate up to eight people in comfort. It has air conditioning, ceiling fans, high-speed Wi-Fi, hotel-style linens, and a fully functional kitchen that can be used for cooking rather than just reheating.

However, Casa Cielo’s location within El Encanto is what truly makes it unique. With direct access to a lengthy, uncrowded stretch of sandy beach, this small, master-planned beachfront community is renowned for being peaceful, safe, and genuinely low-density. The community’s beach club and gym, which is only a short stroll from the villa along landscaped paths, has a large oceanfront pool, loungers, a restaurant/bar, and a fitness center, all of which are free for guests.

You still have professional on-site management, round-the-clock security, and the comforts that make a stay feel effortless, but it feels completely different from the busier hotel area. Casa Cielo is unique among Los Cabos Villas in that it provides genuine, walk-out beachfront living on a serene shore while also connecting you to a full-service gym and beach club just a short distance from town.

Arriving is simple. Los Cabos International Airport (SJD), which is close to San José del Cabo, is the ideal entry point. The trip to El Encanto usually takes thirty to thirty-five minutes in good light, but it can take up to forty minutes during rush hour or on holidays, depending on traffic and route.

The entire route is paved: a highway from the airport, a coastal road that turns into a peaceful residential street as you get closer to the community gate, and the Puerto Los Cabos turnoff. Although an SUV may be more comfortable on the last few speed bumps and small irregularities on local roads, a standard sedan or SUV is more than sufficient; a 4×4 is not necessary. Casa Cielo is located in the beachfront row close to the long, golden arc of La Laguna beach at roughly coordinates 23.071° N, 109.632° W, which will pull up easily on any map app. The final one to two kilometers of El Encanto are on well-maintained paved roads laid out toward the sea.

Once you’re here, daily logistics are easy. About ten minutes’ drive from the villa is Puerto Los Cabos Marina, which is convenient for sailing, whale-watching excursions, and fishing charters. By car, downtown San José del Cabo, with its restaurants, cafés, and Art District, is approximately fifteen minutes away.

The town and the marina area are home to a number of large supermarkets, including La Comer and Chedraui Selecto, as well as pharmacies, banks, and other necessities. Depending on the time of day, it usually takes fifteen to twenty minutes to get there. Casa Cielo can be thought of as being just outside the main bustle, far enough that nights are characterized by the sound of waves rather than traffic or nightlife, and close enough that a grocery run or dinner in town never feels like an adventure.

A farm-to-table lunch or dinner at Flora Farms or Acre, which can be reached in about twenty to twenty-five minutes by car via the Puerto Los Cabos and East Cape road; an evening in San José del Cabo’s historic center, which is about fifteen minutes away, where you can wander the Art Walk on Thursday nights, explore galleries, and finish with tacos or upscale Mexican at one of the town’s many restaurants; and a morning or sunset outing from the villa.
