Casa Torre Mexico is a historic, beachfront villa designed by renowned Mexican architect Diego Villaseñor—one of only three villas set on the Playa Rosa hill, south-facing and naturally sheltered from wind. A private stairway leads straight to the Playa Rosa Beach Club, the lively heart of Careyes.
Inside, life flows under a wide open-air palapa where you read, talk, and watch boats drift by. Meals unfold in three dining pergolas—breakfast in the shade, a long lunch after the beach, dinner under stars. At day’s end, you return to five standalone bungalow suites, each with a view over Playa Rosa—quiet, airy, and close enough to hear the tide.
Art is part of the story here. The interiors were shaped by a Franco-American couple with a deep love for sculpture and design, so every space feels personal and warm. Step outside and wander the botanical gardens crafted by landscape designer Eric Nagelmann (known for Lotusland). Paths of stone and native plants frame the sea and pull you toward the shore.
When the ocean calls, follow your private beach access or head out on the villa’s Boston Whaler with a dedicated captain. Spend the morning fishing, then slide into quiet coves and secluded Costa Careyes beaches for swims and picnics. Back home, rinse off, nap under the palapa, and watch the sky change color over the bay.
