This elegant residence, which faces a hundred meters of immaculate private beach and is situated on a jungle dune 7 kilometers into the Sian Ka’an Biosphere Reserve, is one of the most charming and romantic hideaways in the entire reserve and along the Riviera Maya Tulum.
With its clean lines and indigenous materials that respect the landscape, expansive open volumes that catch sea breezes, shady terraces that frame the horizon, and private nooks for reading, introspection, and leisurely conversation, the design is subtly contemporary but distinctly Mayan in spirit. The architecture, both inside and out, is designed to blend in with the shoreline and jungle, creating an atmosphere that encourages leisurely evenings spent listening to waves and nocturnal birds as well as long mornings spent observing the movement of light across palm fronds.
Casa Yakunah was designed as an off-grid, low-impact haven. This is a non smoking villa. Smoking is not allowed indoors including bedrooms and bathrooms. Violation of this policy will result in a $500.00 USD per day cleaning fee.
The fee for small pets under 20 lbs is $250 per week. (Sorry, Pets larger than 20 lbs are not permitted)
