Located approximately 100 miles off Spain’s eastern coast, Ibiza is at 585 sq. km (225 sq. miles), it is the third largest of the Balearic Islands.
Ibiza features a jagged coastline, great beaches, whitewashed homes, cliffs, secluded bays, and a hilly terrain dotted with olive trees and fig. The temperatures are much warmer than Mallorca, and we consider it a better choice for a fall/winter vacation.
Playa Talamanca, in ciudad de Ibiza, Ses Figueretes and Playa d’en Bossa in the south are amazing white sandy beaches. If love excellent sands you should go to Las Salinas, in the South near the old salt flats.

Other good beaches include Cala Bassa, Port des Torrent, Cala Tarida, and Cala Conta — all within a short bus or boat ride from San Antonio de Portmany. The long sandy cove of Cala Llonga, south of Santa Eulalia del Río, and the white sandy beach of El Cana to the north, are sacred to Ibiza’s sun worshipers. The warm summer months, from late May to early October, are the busiest months, the island is beautiful in early spring when the almond trees are blossoming.
Ibiza is very easy to reach, there are many flights throughout Europe that fly into Ibiza International Airport. There are also ferries from the cities of Valencia, and Barcelona on the Spanish mainland, and from Palma on the nearby island of Majorca.
