Chalet Wastra
Description
Chalet Wastra is considered the epitome of luxury and elegance in Verbier!
Nestled at the heart of the chalet is the expansive spa, occupying an immense 1,500m2 of pure bliss. Inspired by the Roman Empire, the 15m indoor swimming pool is created from pure onyx, forming a haven of tranquility the moment your toe dips in the water’s edge.
It is the largest and most exclusive chalet in Verbier and perhaps the world. Built, furnished and equipped to luxury levels never seen in the chalet industry, it doesn’t just set a new standard: it redefines the idea of the “ultimate chalet”. It is located in a quiet and charming area of Verbier, just a short drive from the city center and the ski lifts.
The location offers a magnificent view of the valley and the mountain peaks. The front of the chalet faces south, which gives it natural warmth and lots of light. This luxury chalet spreads over 3,000 m². There are nine suites (the master suite occupies the entire top floor), eight fireplaces, two lounges, including a piano bar. The open dining room has a large gallery overlooking the professional kitchen, where private gourmet chefs prepare their delights.
There is a library and a bar, and two large south-facing terraces. Below the living areas is the “games room”: in reality a vast network of carefully designed entertainment areas. With a professionally equipped dedicated cinema auditorium, a disco for 50 people, a billiard room which doubles as a conference table for 14 people with videoconference, and all the facilities to serve and entertain large groups of people, including a sushi bar. In addition to all the living and entertainment areas there is an expansive underground spa which includes a 15 meter onyx lined indoor pool with a 5 meter ceiling height, a Turkish hammam also all in onyx with domes Turkish style, one dry sauna, two specialized saunas Jacuzzis for mud and salt treatments, a hairdressing salon with two stations, a very large gym and 5 additional massage rooms.
There are “his” and “hers” changing rooms, with hidden access to the wine cellar in the lower part of the basement. The chalet manager and service staff will discreetly meet all your needs.
The materials used throughout the chalet are the best possible: oriental décor using the finest silk and delicate carvings, exceptional woodwork made by a French cabinetmaker specializing in Art Deco. The walls of the living rooms and bedrooms are covered with fine Italian Verona silks. All of the marble and onyx work was brought from Carrara to Italy. The traditional interior of the chalet of old wood and thick beams is highlighted in one or two rooms: but the chalet innovates with its French and Italian themes from the turn of the century. The fixtures and furniture are Italian, of the best quality.
Bathrooms have romantic freestanding tubs, and the light fixtures are all original 1930s Art Deco items. The floors include chocolate brown oak floors. The beautiful honey-colored exterior is made from 200-year-old wooden beams that were acquired from two old chalets in Zug. In conclusion; this is a one of a kind property.
