Manoir De Lorient
Description
Choosing the right villa for a group vacation in St. Barths can be a little daunting. You want something with space to spread out, but still cozy enough to feel connected. A pool, of course. Maybe a chef-worthy kitchen, plenty of privacy, and if possible, something with a bit of character. That’s where Villa Manoir de Lorient St Barth quietly stands out.
Located just steps from Lorient Beach, this estate isn’t your typical island getaway. What makes it so special is its story: the main house is an 18th-century French manor from Normandy, carefully dismantled and shipped to St. Barths in the 1980s. Today, it blends old-world charm with tropical ease in a way that feels both grand and grounded.
The layout is simple but smart. The property is made up of several one-level pavilions and bungalows, all connected by a sleek mirror pool that stretches through the heart of the estate. It’s ideal for families with kids, friend groups, or anyone who appreciates a little breathing room. Recently updated, the interiors are light and modern, with soft concrete floors, high ceilings, and open-air living spaces designed for warm island days.
The main living room flows out to a breezy terrace, where sofas, armchairs, and coffee tables invite you to sit and stay awhile. Above, there’s a cozy mezzanine tucked under the roofline—a perfect hideaway for reading, relaxing, or just watching the villa hum to life around you. The kitchen is built for real cooking (or chef-catered meals), and with both indoor and outdoor dining areas, you can take your meals wherever the moment calls for it.
Step outside, and the vibe only gets better. The terrace feels like it’s been dropped into the middle of a tropical garden, with tall palms, soft grass, and shaded lounge areas scattered around the pool. A tucked-away gazebo offers the perfect spot to nap, meditate, or escape with a book.
There are seven bedrooms spread across the property, each in its own garden pavilion. Every room is unique, but all feature king or twin beds, private patios, and breezy, minimal decor. One pair of rooms shares a bathroom—a setup that works especially well for families with kids. The rest have their own bathrooms, some with outdoor showers that make mornings feel just a little more magical.
And if you’re thinking of celebrating something special—an anniversary, a birthday, maybe even a wedding—this villa was made for that kind of moment. It’s peaceful and private, with just enough grandeur to make your trip feel like an occasion.
Planning a group stay in St. Barths? This might be the villa that checks every box. Full of charm, surrounded by nature, and just steps from the beach, Villa Manoir de Lorient makes island living feel effortless.
