Masseria Augusto
Description
A luxury estate completely renovated, once an old flower market, now a building with contemporary design and modern amenities connected with the culture of Apulia, welcome to Masseria Augusto!
This villa can accommodate up to 18 adults + 7 children
The expansive, cloistered estate creates an ideal venue for special occasions or serene relaxation with family and friends. Plunge from the diving board into the enormous, heated swimming pool, and relax on elegant Tribù furniture under the Mediterranean sky. Sip espresso or aperitivi at bistro tables, and gather for alfresco meals under the vine-clad pergola or on the elegant inner patio. Uncork a bottle of fine local wine and celebrate under the starry heavens.
Inside there is a superb mélange of the contemporary and the traditional, including walls of pietra leccese (hand-polished limestone), groin-vault ceilings, and original paintings with protected heritage status. The main living area features gorgeous Casimir furnishings including a dining table of oak wood. The spa is located within a former wine cellar and features a sauna, Turkish bath, massage table, and pool.
The bedrooms offer wonderful havens for private downtime and rest, furnished with an elegant minimalism that feels at once monastic and regal. All eight suites feature king beds and ensuite bathrooms. Several of the rooms include mini fridges and additional single beds (lofted or on the ground level), forming lovely suites for children or small families. Two of the suites enjoy private entrances.
Beyond the exclusive sanctuary of Masseria Antonio Agosto, you’re just minutes from the historic town of Leverano, and within easy driving distance of the Baroque treasures at Lecce and the enchanting beaches at Porto Casareo and Torre Lapillo.
The Masseria is located near the vineyards of Leverano and in the middle between the Art City Lecce and the Sea of Porto Cesareo. It is a mixture between a Classical and con- temporary design bringing pure luxury to the next level in hospitality in this area. The quiet and calm aesthetics of the interiors extend to the outdoor space. Here, the sun-drenched private pool, elegantly furnished patios, many tables to dine “al fresco”, the gardens are the ideal places where family and friends will have an effortless vacation in a no- sense-of-time paradise.
Besides the magnificent beaches and the crystal clear waters, Apulia’s highlights include the unique village of Albero- bello with its white-washed trulli lining the streets, the natural wonders of the famous Grottoes of Castellana and Fa- sano, the baroque city of Lecce, Ostuni, nicknamed “la città bianca” due to the picturesque white stone houses and churches. Conquered by many different ancient civilizations – Greeks, Romans, Turks, Franks, Normans, Swabians, Angevins and Bourbons – Apulia treasures an impressive collection of castles, great artistic and cultural heritage, and important archeological sites.
