The first evidence of the existence of the Uglione Castle is an act of the year 1127, where the castle were part of a gift to Florence’s bishop.
The castle was also the residence of the very famous Taddeo, the “Villan d’Uglione”, who is mentioned by Dante in the Divine Comedy.
This estate is set on a private hilltop starting at the grand remote controlled iron gate. You enter the property along the driveway which brings you to the Villa at the top. The park-like grounds have been beautifully landscaped with plants and trees which are illuminated at night to create a beautiful atmosphere in any season of the year.
