When you want a change of scenery before heading back to your peaceful section of the coast, the hotel zone’s restaurant row is located 35 to 55 minutes north, while Tulum Pueblo, which is home to a concentration of groceries and pharmacies, is 45 to 60 minutes back toward town. Parking is easy to find on the property, and most days work out well without you ever leaving the beach.

How easily life slows down is the pleasure here. Depending on the season and recent rains, it takes 35 to 60 minutes to get from CUN to Tulum, 35 to 60 minutes to get to the reserve gate, and 30 to 90 minutes to get to the villa. Tulum Pueblo groceries and pharmacies are 45 to 60 minutes away from town, and hotel-zone dining is 35 to 55 minutes away. The final 1-2 kilometers are usually on graded sand/dirt lanes, which are best suited for an SUV, and there is easy parking available once you get there.
