The small Adriatic country Montenegro offers all you could wish for. In the west, you’ve got beaches and the Adriatic, with small fishing villages dotted along the coast. Further inland, you find wide plains and high mountains like Maja Kolata, for active holidays involving everything from hiking to rafting.
This itinerary does not have set dates but we suggest to travel through Montenegro from April to October and can be also customise considering your interests, specifications and multigenerational groups.
Montenegro has a pleasant, temperate climate, making it an all-year destination. Summer, of course, is the peak time for boating adventures and pool time, with temperatures climbing into the 80s. In winter, daily highs average around 50 degrees—too chilly for sunbathing, but perfect for hikes, bike rides and lazy strolls through the country’s charming towns.
Montenegro is also one of the very few European countries open to U.S. visitors. To enter the country, travelers must show proof of negative results from a PCR test from within 72 hours prior to travel.

Days 1-3
Looming above the Bay of Kotor, Lovcen is the black mountain that gave Montenegro its name. For centuries, this karstic massif was the very crucible of Montenegrin culture – a rocky redoubt of resistance to the Ottomans, populated by fearsome warriors, clerics and poets – and it remains the nation’s heartland to this day. The old royal capital, Cetinje, is nestled on its slopes and is the perfect base for exploring – although the park also can be easily accessed from the coastal hotspots of Kotor and Budva.
Visit Skadar Lake, the largest lake in the Balkans and one of the biggest bird sanctuaries. Pelicans call Skadar their home, and boat trips can be arranged.

Explore the stunning countryside between Bar, Prodgorica and Serbian capital Belgrade. Crossing the country from one end to the other, you can sit back and watch the varying landscape roll we will arrange all the private transfers for you. The town itself offers a charismatic mix of cottages and palaces.
