What is the Safest part of Los Angeles to stay in

There isn’t one perfectly safe corner of LA, but for visitors, a few areas are consistently seen as among the safest and most comfortable:

Beverly Hills
Very heavy security, strong police presence, and extensive camera coverage, with recent data showing drops in overall and violent crime. Popular with visitors who want a luxury, low-stress base.

Burbank
A separate city next to LA that regularly ranks as one of the safest in the county, with relatively low violent crime and a calm, suburban feel. Great for families and studio visits.

Pasadena & Glendale
Leafy, residential cities with good reputations for safety and a more relaxed, “small city” atmosphere compared to central LA, often recommended to families and newcomers.

Westwood & Brentwood (West LA)
Home to UCLA and affluent residential streets, these neighborhoods are frequently listed among LA’s safest, with low violent crime and lots of people out and about. 

Santa Monica & the Westside beach cities
Tourist-friendly, well-patrolled and generally safe around the main areas, though you’ll still see some homelessness near the beach – standard big-city precautions apply.

If safety is your top concern, most travelers look first at Beverly Hills, Burbank, Pasadena, Westwood/Brentwood, Glendale, and central Santa Monica – then choose based on budget and what you want to see.
