No matter where you travel, a member of our team or a trusted partner will be there to welcome you, personally inspecting and preparing each villa before your arrival. Our Paris team is also available around the clock to answer any questions and provide support whenever needed.
Additional expenses may apply in certain locations, so we recommend consulting with your reservations agent before finalizing your villa booking. These extra costs could include utilities such as pool heating, house heating, exceeding a specified level of electricity consumption (common in Europe), long-distance phone usage, internet access, and maid-provided laundry services (please note that access to client-operated laundry facilities may not always be available).

A destination specialist will get in touch with you within 24 hours to provide personalized guidance with complete transparency, helping you find the perfect home that meets your expectations.

The minimum rental duration is set by the property owner and varies based on the destination and booking period.
For weekly rentals, the majority of our properties are available from Saturday to Saturday. You can check the minimum rental duration for each property throughout the year using the calendar on the house pages of our website.
If the minimum stay doesn’t align with your plans, our advisors are happy to help you find a more suitable alternative.

In most cases, within 5 to 14 days of saying “yes I’d like to reserve that villa for my vacation”, you need to provide Haute Retreats the signed contract. A reservation is not considered valid until the deposit money is received. A valid credit card number is required on all reservations at the time that the booking is made to guarantee the reservation until a check or wire transfer is received.

To ensure the best availability and prices, we recommend sharing your requirements with us as early as possible, especially if you’re traveling during school holidays or other peak periods.

Here are some practical questions.
Do you offer insurance?
We do not provide insurance directly. However, we recommend informing your home insurance company about your holiday rental. This will ensure that you are covered for any issues related to the property during your stay.
Why do I need insurance?
It’s essential to notify your insurance company to ensure coverage in case of damage due to fire, explosion, water, or theft during your rental period.
The deposit is held in a secure account and is only used if any damages are identified after your stay. It will be processed 15 days prior to your arrival, either by bank transfer or credit card. The deposit covers any necessary repair or replacement costs, based on an agreement with the owner and supported by appropriate documentation.
How much will the deposit be?
The deposit amount is determined by each property owner, usually with our guidance. It depends on several factors, primarily the value of the items in the property. The deposit amount will be clearly outlined in your rental agreement, and your advisor can provide this information before you confirm your booking.
When and how will the deposit be returned?
We make every effort to return your deposit as quickly as possible after your departure. If no damages are found, you will receive the full deposit within 15 days, though in most cases, it’s much faster. 9 out of 10 clients receive their deposit back within 2 business days after leaving the property.
What happens if damage is found?
If any damage is reported, Haute Retreats acts as a neutral mediator between you and the owner. We do not profit from deposit management, and no amount is withheld without a detailed review. This process may extend the time needed to return the deposit, as it allows for thorough inspections and assessments. Throughout this process, your advisor will keep you fully informed.
If any deductions are made from the deposit, they will be supported by quotes or invoices and shared with you transparently. Our goal is to minimize any inconvenience to you and handle the situation fairly. Once we’ve finalized the details with the owner, the necessary funds will be used to cover repair or replacement costs, and the remaining balance of your deposit will be returned promptly.
Cancellation policies can differ based on the destination, but as a general guideline:
- Cancellation more than 60 days before arrival typically incurs a fee of 0-25% of the gross rental price.
- Cancellation between 60 and 30 days before arrival usually results in a fee of 50% of the gross rental price.
- Cancellation within 30 days of travel typically leads to a full forfeiture of the gross rental price.
It’s advisable to confirm the specific cancellation policy for your reservation by consulting with your Reservation Agent.
There are destinations like Punta Cana, St Martin, Turks and Caicos and others that offer a fully refundable cancellation policy if you cancel 60 days prior to arrival.Â
