This luxury Estate was custom-built by Don Koll, the pioneering developer of the Palmilla Resort, the private compound boasts pride of place in the ultra-exclusive Palmilla communique including Casa Koll, the main villa and Casa Roca, the separate guest house.
Casa Koll Estate was inspired by the enchanting medieval chateaux of Saint-Paul-de-Vence in Provence and it features sand-colored stone walls, intricate wrought iron fixtures, exquisite woodwork and elegant decor. Fire-lit torches are placed all around the exterior giving a velvet glow all across the terrace in the evenings and add to the authentic medieval character of the home.
Reclaimed materials have been used to enhance Koll’s picturesque beauty, which includes roof tiles from a 19th Century Veracruz hacienda and antique floor tiles from an Andalusian estate. Indoors, the Old-World aesthetic continues in Koll’s great room, where a traditional-style fireplace extends up to the spectacular wood herringbone ceiling.
Inside there is a huge space for friends and family that want to gather together, the gourmet kitchen exemplifies Provencal warmth with its soft earthy tones, lovely tile and stone work, and rustic wood slab table with seating for ten. Casa Koll has four beautifully-appointed bedroom suites, each with a sumptuous ensuite bath. Ocean views are present in almost every suite to bring the beauty of nature indoors.
Outside the manicured gardens of the estate are dotted with large palm trees and stepped garden beds filled with fragrant bougainvillea cascading down to the beachfront. A carpet of soft green grass blankets the outdoor spaces and surrounds the massive pool that floats just above the beach, while the water of its infinity edge appears to meet the azure waves beyond. The manicured lawn extends out to an elevated lookout point where lounge chairs and a gas fire pit provide the perfect spot to relax under the stars and listen to the waves washing against the shore.
Adjacent to Casa Koll, Casa Roca comfortably accommodates 8 guests and has a full kitchen, living and dining area. The four-bedroom suites of this quaint guest house each have a rustic, charming atmosphere. There are two principal suites and two-family suites that are ideal for kids; one suite includes two bamboo-framed four-poster beds and a Siren suite that has two twin beds with a mermaid skillfully carved into each one. Lovely wood furnishings, local pottery and colorful artwork are found throughout the home, creating a bright and inviting interior space.
The One & Only Palmilla Hotel is also just minutes away from the Koll Estate. Here, guests can enjoy delicious fine dining, indulgent spa treatments, and fabulous shopping in the hotel’s boutique. Your booking of this luxury estate, which is located in the exclusive Palmilla residential community, includes access to the Palmilla Golf and Tennis clubs. Additional fees apply. Please ask your concierge for reservations and tee times. One & Only restaurant reservations may also be requested and are subject to availability and confirmation from the One & Only Palmilla hotel. Access to the gym and pool areas of the One & Only Palmilla are restricted to hotel guests only.
