An immersive stay — layout & atmosphere

Chalet Carat sits in the Domaine de Bellecôte of Courchevel 1850, designed to blend traditional Savoyard architecture with an opulent, contemporary interior. The chalet sleeps up to 10 guests across five bedrooms (one of the five is a separate, cosy apartment) and is spread over three main levels:

• Top floor — living and dining: the social heart. A large, comfortable living area arranged around a fireplace and TV, textured curtains, and a Sonos sound system. The elegant dining table seats eight (three armchairs + an L-shaped bench) and is lit with warm, ambient lighting—perfect for long dinners and stories after skiing. A guest WC sits on this level, and a children’s double bedroom (under the eaves, with arched windows and a TV) connects via a few steps to a dedicated shower room — a charming hideaway kids will love.

• Sleeping floor — restful and private: reached by a staircase that winds past crystal statement chandeliers. The master bedroom is generous and serene: seating area, floor-to-ceiling windows, terrace access and a white-marble en-suite bathroom; the unit at the foot of the bed houses a retractable TV for late-night movies. Two further double bedrooms each have wall-mounted TVs and their own marble-finish shower rooms; one of these shares the terrace with the master.

• Lower ground floor — spa, pool & entertainment: designed for relaxation and evenings in. A white-marble style indoor swimming pool, bar and spa area sit alongside a velvet-walled home cinema with comfy sofas for big-screen nights. The wine cave nestles nearby, with a further WC, a well-appointed laundry room, storage for outerwear, and a large ski room with heated boot warmers. A sauna helps soothe tired legs after a day on the slopes. From here you access the shared underground garage (the garage is shared between five chalets in the Domaine).

The separate apartment

Included in the chalet’s total capacity is a separate, traditionally styled apartment reached by approximately a 200 m walk through the garage (or via the main garage door). It offers a double bedroom with en-suite shower, a living room with smart TV, and a kitchen/dining area — ideal for an overflow of guests, a nanny, or guests who want a little extra privacy.
