Chalet Elena

Chalet Elena is a luxury apartment occupying the top two floors of Chalet Shalimar in Zermatt. Sleeping twelve guests across six spacious double/twin bedrooms and with a number of shared wellness facilities, including an indoor swimming pool, sauna, Hammam and massage room, it’s the perfect retreat for your luxury ski holiday to Zermatt.

Chalet Elena is made up of two apartments separated by an adjoining door, with all features mirrored on each side. This makes Chalet Elena a great option for family groups who want separate living areas which join, or corporate holidays, as it allows for separating groups easily.

The chalet’s elevator brings you to the main living floor at the top of Chalet Elena. Each side is a bright commodious open-plan space, with wonderful wooden interiors like the double height vaulted ceiling creating a sense of grandeur. Floor to ceiling windows allow light to shine on the homely lounge area, where there are two inviting sofas on one side and a roomy corner sofa on the other, as well as an armchair huddled around the flickering fireplace. Step through the wall of glass onto a large balcony to admire the undisturbed beauty of the Matterhorn, while the alfresco dining table is the perfect spot for indulging in a post ski glass of fizz. Past the central fireplace is a long wooden dining table where you’ll enjoy the delicious meals prepared in the kitchen, which is tucked around the corner. The dining tables from both chalets can be paired to seat twenty guests. There is also an entertainment room with a small private balcony, an ideal space for a kid’s hangout, giving the parents some time to themselves.

Chalet Elena’s bedrooms are on the first floor and continue the reclaimed wood alpine style interiors of the chalet. This style is paired with rich colourful fabric curtains and soft luxurious furnishings, like the comfortable beds with thick throws draped over them. The two master double/twin rooms are blessed by an enviable position looking out on the Matterhorn from their private balconies. All of the bedrooms are double/twin rooms, each with a private balcony and en-suite bathroom, making it easy to accommodate different groups sleeping arrangements.

Chalet Shalimar is home to a fabulous wellness centre on its lower ground floor, which Chalet Elena shares with the other chalet on the ground floor. There’s a dazzling indoor pool, sauna, Hammam, and massage room, everything you could need to make sure your body is fully recovered for tomorrow’s exhilarating day skiing.
