In the heart of Bordeaux wine country in France, Le Petit Verdu is a 19th‑century château reimagined as a private country retreat. Set on 52 acres – including 10 acres of working vineyards – this estate feels wonderfully secluded, yet remains within easy reach of Bordeaux and Saint‑Émilion.
Recently restored, the château celebrates classic French style: soaring ceilings, parquet floors, hand‑printed wallpaper and three romantic turrets framing the landscape. Six elegant suites – plus two additional suites for a total capacity of 14 guests – each feature an en‑suite bathroom, vintage‑inspired tubs, and wide windows overlooking the vines. Two suites also include a private sauna, creating a spa‑like escape after a day of exploring.
Outside, days unfold between the swimming pool, sun‑drenched terraces and leafy corners perfect for a quiet read or an al‑fresco lunch. Wander through the vineyards, enjoy a picnic on the estate, or challenge friends and family to a game of tennis or billiards. Le Petit Verdu’s own vineyard produces three exclusive wine labels, available to taste on site and ship home – a beautiful way to extend your stay beyond the château.

This place is magical!

This place is magical! First off the house is stunning, the property is amazing and so accommodating for large parties. We had 21 people and it fit us all perfectly and they brought us cribs and all the things we needed. We had added a personal chef to our reservation and she was fantastic. The host was great and they also helped us plan excursions for placed near us and made bookings for wine tours, food tours etc. Monica and Elizabeth were great and Chef Orietta, and our pizziera Flavio were so great! Highly recommend this place as its only about 40 min drive from Florence and only 30 mins from Sienna ans San Gimignano. If you want to feel relaxed stay here! You won't regret it!

Unforgettable Family Vacation

Our experience with Haute Retreats this summer was simply the best! Sabrina provided excellent, professional and caring service and was always available to answer questions quickly - even across several time zones. Her expertise in finding the perfect villa in Tuscany for our family vacation and patiently assisting us with other hotel reservations, sending us valuable destination information and recommendations made for an unforgettable vacation. Incredible Client Service

We booked a villa in Italy through Haute Retreats but this review is not about that villa (which was excellent) but this review is about the people behind the scenes who run Haute. I was constantly impressed by the availability, patience, knowledge and contacts they had. Every question I had was answered timely, with deep knowledge, and constant patience. In the middle of our trip we had a relatively large emergency with the family and Sabrina was instrumental in helping us get through as painless and quickly as possible. She didn't need to do that, but was coordinating across a few people and coming up with ideas to get us what we needed quickly so we could enjoy the trip. She has earned my respect and appreciation and this is a company that I will continue to go to when I plan my next trip, and the trip after that . . . .
