Taormina is a pedestrian-friendly town with breathtaking views of the east coast of Sicily and Mount Etna.

This picturesque town is perched on a cliff 200 meters above the sea and is renowned for its spectacular vistas, which have been described as the “panorama par excellence”. Taormina is also famous for its ancient theater, the second largest on the island, which was originally built in the third century B.C. and still hosts major international cultural events during the summer months. Visitors can enjoy great shopping opportunities, from the best Italian designers to local art and crafts, as well as delicious local food. If you want to explore Taormina without using a car, you can rent Villa Diffusa, a beautiful villa that is within walking distance of everything.

The ground floor of the villa features a spacious and bright living room with a wood-burning fireplace, comfortable white sofas, and a large TV. The mantel and wall-art are the work of local artists. There is also a dining room with a table for six, served by a fully equipped commercial-grade kitchen, and a full bathroom. All rooms open onto a patio with magnificent views of the Mazzarò bay below. The villa’s garden is well-manicured and features a sundeck with loungers and shades, a large swimming pool (10 m x 4 m), a convenient BBQ area, and a furnished dining area in the adjacent covered patio. There is also a large Jacuzzi for up to six people, gym equipment, and private parking for one car, as well as off-street parking.

The villa is air-conditioned in the bedrooms and has heating, Wi-Fi internet connection, satellite TV with Sky cable, a stereo system, a safe, a decorative fireplace, a laundry room with a washing machine, a dishwasher, hairdryers, and an outdoor shower with hot and cold water. It is ideal for groups of adults or couples, and is located close to Taormina center, which is a 15-minute walk away. The villa is also steps away from the cable-car to the public beaches located on the coast below. Please note that while the gentle swishing of the cable car will not disturb your stay at the villa, your privacy may be affected.

This place is magical!

This place is magical! First off the house is stunning, the property is amazing and so accommodating for large parties. We had 21 people and it fit us all perfectly and they brought us cribs and all the things we needed. We had added a personal chef to our reservation and she was fantastic. The host was great and they also helped us plan excursions for placed near us and made bookings for wine tours, food tours etc. Monica and Elizabeth were great and Chef Orietta, and our pizziera Flavio were so great! Highly recommend this place as its only about 40 min drive from Florence and only 30 mins from Sienna ans San Gimignano. If you want to feel relaxed stay here! You won't regret it!

Unforgettable Family Vacation

Our experience with Haute Retreats this summer was simply the best! Sabrina provided excellent, professional and caring service and was always available to answer questions quickly - even across several time zones. Her expertise in finding the perfect villa in Tuscany for our family vacation and patiently assisting us with other hotel reservations, sending us valuable destination information and recommendations made for an unforgettable vacation. Sabrina’s care and guidance were very much appreciated and I would not hesitate to call on her and Haute Retreats in the future.

Incredible Client Service

We booked a villa in Italy through Haute Retreats but this review is not about that villa (which was excellent) but this review is about the people behind the scenes who run Haute. I was constantly impressed by the availability, patience, knowledge and contacts they had. Every question I had was answered timely, with deep knowledge, and constant patience. In the middle of our trip we had a relatively large emergency with the family and Sabrina was instrumental in helping us get through as painless and quickly as possible. She didn't need to do that, but was coordinating across a few people and coming up with ideas to get us what we needed quickly so we could enjoy the trip. She has earned my respect and appreciation and this is a company that I will continue to go to when I plan my next trip, and the trip after that . . . .
