St. Maarten / St. Martin is just 37 square miles and we’ve regularly circumnavigated multiple times on our annual week-long trips there. But despite its small size, we’ve never been bored or had to look too hard for something to do. Our favorite things to do in Sint Maarten/Saint Martin includes go diving without being certified, surfing, windsurfing, jet-skiing, SUP, kayaking, sailing, flyboarding and deep-sea fishing all on offer. Wildlife buffs will enjoy the island’s incredible biodiversity: several species of tropical tree frog, 60 migratory bird species, including herons, egrets, stilts, and pelicans, mongooses, and dozens of species of tropical fish and lizards — among other fauna — call the island home.
