The Turks and Caicos Islands celebrate its annual Conch Festival along with local restaurants who serve up their best conch dishes in every form imaginable in Blue Hills, one of the original settlements on Provo.
The traditional conch salad, fritters, and stew are a must during this event.
It’s part food festival, part talent show: restaurants vie for the honor of Best Conch Chowder, Best Conch Salad, and Best Speciality Conch Dish, while contestants show off their talents at conch blowing and conch cracking. The day-long event also includes food stands, junkanoo dancing and live music, and fireworks.
