Villa Ione

Three miles from the heart of Florence and a world away from it, Villa Ione occupies a private hillside position surrounded by centuries-old olive groves and working vineyards. The estate comprises a main villa and two independent guest houses sleeping ten in total — a configuration that gives large groups the rare combination of shared grandeur and genuine privacy. The rolling Tuscan hills extend in every direction; the city is a twenty-minute drive when you want it, and entirely ignorable when you don’t.

The main villa is organised around a generous open-plan ground floor where a sleek island kitchen, a dining area lit by an arched glass door, and a sitting room centred on a stone fireplace flow naturally into one another. Bleached beamed ceilings and blond wood parquet set the tone — a contemporary interior that carries its Tuscan bones lightly. A separate television room and a fully equipped laundry room complete the ground floor. Three bedrooms occupy the upper level, each en-suite, one of which is fitted with professional gym equipment for those who prefer not to interrupt their training routine.

The two guest houses extend the estate’s capacity without sacrificing intimacy. The first is a loft-style residence with its own kitchen, a dining table for ten, and a sunroom lounge on the sunset side of the valley — connected directly to an outdoor yoga deck and a fifteen-square-metre terrace. The second is quieter and more self-contained, reached by a spiral staircase, suited to guests who want their own rhythm within the larger group.
Outside, the estate is anchored by a twelve-metre infinity pool that appears to dissolve into the Tuscan hillscape. A gazebo shelters a casual lounging area alongside two al fresco dining tables — one for six, one for ten. Sauna and bio-sauna facilities occupy a separate independent space. The olive trees and vineyards that frame the property are not decorative: they are the reason the estate feels genuinely secluded rather than simply rural.

Included with every stay: daily housekeeping, all utilities including heating and cooling, pool and garden maintenance, Wi-Fi via both fibre and Starlink, and a welcome basket on arrival. Cook service is available through the villa management.
