Arrival is simple and, by Baja standards, quite brief. Los Cabos International Airport (SJD), which is close to San José del Cabo, is the ideal entry point. The trip from the terminal to Highway 1 and the clearly marked Palmilla turnoff usually takes 25 to 30 minutes in light traffic and up to 35 minutes during peak hours. A comfortable sedan or SUV is ideal for the last one to two kilometers, which wind gently through well-kept resort roads and the gated Caleta neighborhood on smooth pavement.
A 4×4 is not necessary, but an SUV can be useful for luggage and golf clubs. The stores and eateries in the Palmilla area are about a five-minute drive away, and depending on traffic, downtown San José del Cabo is about ten to fifteen minutes away. Las Brisas in Palmilla is located above Palmilla Beach on a map, close to coordinates of 23.0° N, 109.7° W, which is a convenient point of reference for drivers and navigation apps.
