Malibu Beach Oasis

Where exactly is the house, and what about the beach?

The villa is in western Malibu, the quieter end of the coast beyond Point Dume, where the houses sit on bluffs rather than shoulder to shoulder along the highway. The site is private and set back, with the Pacific filling the whole western horizon, and the terraces face directly into the sunset.

The beach below the bluff is a small cove, screened from the road and rarely busy, reached by the path down from the property. One of Malibu’s favourite local surf breaks is within walking distance, which matters to anyone travelling with surfers in the family. Zuma Beach, the wide two-mile stretch of sand with lifeguards, volleyball and easy parking, is a short drive along the Pacific Coast Highway; Point Dume, Paradise Cove and El Matador are all within ten or fifteen minutes.

How do I get there?

A heated swimming pool with sun beds sits on the bluff, facing the water, and the private hot tub off the primary suite is the place to be at sunset. Several terraces wrap the ocean side of the house with space for alfresco dining, morning coffee and long evenings, and the path down the bluff gives direct access to the beach below.
