The Bagnara Towers is Italy’s leading fully staffed luxury Castle-villa with a license and is located in central Italy, near Assisi, midway from Florence and Roma, offering a most exclusive vacation home for groups up to 30 people.
This remarkable medieval estate is home to one of our most historic Castle villas in Italy owned by the noble family descended from emperor Napoleon Bonaparte. You’ll find it nestled on 1,500 acres in the rolling hills of Umbria, the green heart of Italy. With a nature reserve and scenic lakes, this fairytale landscape is also home to several other castles.
This is a perfect property to host an event for a large group of friends and family. You’ll find plenty of outdoor seating areas, terraces with panoramic views of the landscape, a children’s playground, stone barbecue, billiards table, and a saltwater infinity pool. There’s even a church on site, making it especially ideal for a wedding celebration, and the gardens filled with flowers, fruit and olive trees would make a beautiful backdrop for photos.
The Main House – Pieve San Quirico castle, is a hillside luxurious authentic medieval Castle built by emperor Frederick the II of Swabia and made into a luxurious villa with 7 bedrooms and 9 bathrooms (15 beds). For a special event or large gathering, four additional apartments (8 bedrooms/15 beds), are available in the 11th century high Tower (Guest house), just up the hill. Available exclusively in combination with a rental of the Castle, the high Tower’s apartments can be added one by one or altogether.
The castle beautiful interior decorations and furniture are matched with modern equipment and cutting-edge technology from wireless Internet connection, air conditioning, ice maker, and professional Nespresso coffee machine. All bedrooms feature ensuite bathroom, AC, telephone, safe box, mini fridge, hair drier, fine fabrics and luxurious drapes. Each bedroom suite having its own decorative theme. There is a chef-worthy kitchen and a fully equipped laundry.
Outside you find a medieval large courtyard surrounded by lemon trees perfect for candlelight dinner. The 5,000 sq.m manicured gardens which surround the castle were created by the famous Tuscan landscape designer Alberto Margheriti. Numerous seating areas offer fabulous views over the hills and the Tiber valley. There is a large panoramic infinity saltwater pool with a broad wooden loggia that is the ideal place for a lazy lunch or romantic evening dining. There are also a stone barbecue, outdoor shower, a herb garden with aromatic plants and a vegetable garden.
Table tennis, bocce ball court, billiards, mountain bikes and children playground will keep you entertained. There’s even a consecrated church, making it especially ideal for a wedding celebration and the property is also licensed for civil weddings.
Take some time exploring the nearby walking and biking trails; the surrounding woods are home to partridge, roe deer and wild boar. “Chianina” cattle, chicken and geese are reared on the scenic farmland surrounding the villa. The nearest village is a 5-minute drive away, where you’ll find restaurants and local shops, while an 18-hole golf course designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. is just 10 minutes away. Perched between Florence and Rome, The Bagnara Towers is the ideal base for exploring central Italy.
