Villa Atabeya
Description
Villa Atabeya is a newly built seven-bedroom villa for up to 14 guests, directly on the beach at Baie Rouge in Terres Basses, St Martin. A 25-metre lap pool runs along the waterfront, and the principal suites look straight out to sea. The whole lower floor is given over to wellness, with a gym, sauna, red light therapy and cold plunge, so a group can swim, train and recover without leaving the property.
The design
The villa takes its name from Atabey, the Taíno goddess of fresh water and fertility. Soft neutral tones, natural textures and uninterrupted sea views run through every level.
Main level
Open-plan living flows into a fully equipped chef’s kitchen and two ocean-facing primary suites. Floor-to-ceiling openings lead onto a covered terrace with a dining table, outdoor lounge, sun loungers, bar and barbecue, all facing the lap pool and the beach beyond.
Upper level
Two suites sit above the rest of the house, with elevated views over the red cliffs and turquoise water of Baie Rouge.
Lower level
The wellness floor holds a fitness room, a media room and a spa with sauna, red light therapy and cold plunge. The remaining suites are on this level too, giving larger groups room to spread out.
Bedrooms
Seven king bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, for up to 14 guests. The two primary suites are on the main level, two more suites are upstairs with elevated views over Baie Rouge, and the rest are on the lower level beside the wellness floor. Five bedrooms are reached from inside the house and two from outside. For smaller groups, the villa can be taken with four, five or six bedrooms.

Location
Baie Rouge takes its name from the red-toned cliffs that frame the bay, on the Terres Basses coast. Mullet Bay, Cupecoy and the restaurants of Maho and Simpson Bay are a short drive away, as is Princess Juliana International Airport.
