Villa Giulia | 5 BR
Description
Set along a winding hillside road on the Amalfi Coast, Villa Giulia is a historic private retreat where centuries-old architecture, sea views, and refined Italian hospitality come together beautifully. Originally built in the 1500s as a fortified residence, the villa still preserves its impressive stone walls and watchtower, carrying the quiet strength of its past while offering the comfort and elegance of a fully restored luxury home.
Located just 20 minutes from Amalfi and approximately 15 minutes from Conca dei Marini, Villa Giulia feels wonderfully secluded, yet remains well connected to the coast’s most beloved towns, beaches, restaurants, and scenic routes. Set dramatically on a rocky outcrop and reached by descending several flights of stone steps, the villa rewards guests with sweeping views of the turquoise sea and the rugged coastline beyond.
The interiors have been recently restored with a romantic and timeless approach. Rich textures, elegant furnishings, soft colors, and carefully selected details create an atmosphere that feels both sophisticated and welcoming. The main living spaces include an intimate dining room seating up to ten guests, with direct access to the terrace, a cozy sitting room with comfortable sofa, decorative fireplace and flat-screen TV, a fully equipped kitchen, and a guest bathroom.
Outdoor living is one of Villa Giulia’s defining pleasures. The sea-facing terrace acts as an open-air living room, ideal for morning coffee, long lunches, sunset aperitifs, or quiet evenings with family and friends. A built-in BBQ sits near the generous outdoor dining table, where meals can be prepared by a private chef. The panoramic infinity-edge swimming pool, complete with whirlpool area, offers a stunning place to relax while overlooking the coastline. Terraced gardens, olive groves, and the villa’s own vegetable garden add to the sense of privacy and connection to the land.
The villa also offers a versatile event space overlooking the pool area, complete with home theater and stereo system. This elegant space can be used for intimate ceremonies, private celebrations, corporate meetings, wine tastings, or dance events. Please note that this area is not included in the standard villa rental and may be reserved for an additional fee.
Amenities include central air conditioning and heating, Wi-Fi, smart TV, DVD player, fireplace, BBQ, ice machine, indoor and outdoor speaker system, luxury Italian bed and bath linens, hair dryers, dishwasher, washer and dryer under staff supervision, safes and minibars in every bedroom, outdoor showers, sun deck with changing room, carbon monoxide detectors, and a private swimming pool measuring approximately 12 m x 5 m x 2.2 m, heated on request. A pizza oven is also available for an additional fee.
What makes Villa Giulia especially memorable is the blend of history, landscape, and service. Every detail, from the layout to the color palette and fabrics, has been thoughtfully considered to create a villa that feels deeply personal and unique. Attentive house staff are available to ensure a seamless stay, allowing guests to relax, dine beautifully, and enjoy the Amalfi Coast at an unhurried pace.
For guests who enjoy exploring on foot, several useful village amenities can be reached by descending the villa’s stone steps, including a minimarket, post office, ATM, pharmacy, bar, restaurant, and bus stop for Amalfi.
