Villa Karukera looks out over the coveted Orient Bay, on the eastern shore of St. Martin, where the water opens wide and bright below. The arrival sets the tone. You step first into an alfresco lounge framed by the sea, a quiet overture to what follows. Beyond it, the great room gives directly onto the terrace, where an infinity-edge pool appears to spill toward the ocean. Inside, a formal dining room, living room, and lounge with entertainment system are dressed in a calm contemporary style — spaces made for long afternoons and unhurried conversation.
The terrace is the villa’s centerpiece: a streamlined wooden deck set with sunbeds and lounge corners, an alfresco living room beneath the gazebo, and a dining table positioned squarely before the view. The rounded form of the pool plays gently against the clean architectural lines, balancing softness and geometry.
Inside the kitchen and bedrooms, an Asian-inspired sensibility takes hold — saturated wall art and considered palettes lend each room its own distinct mood. The kitchen, composed in black, white, red, and green, centers on an island with modern appliances and opens to the terrace. Of the four bedrooms, three offer king beds and generous ensuite baths; the fourth is a master suite with private access, a kitchenette, and its own ensuite.
