Villa One
Description
The first thing to note about Villa One is that it’s the one perched high up on the hill overlooking the crescent of Friendship Bay, Grenadines, Caribbean. There is certainly no craning your neck for a view. A couple of close trees from the jungle canopy silhouette against what is otherwise an unbroken evening skyline.
A large infinity pool appears to spill into the tree canopy from Villa One’s high vantage point, but guests can use a set of stairs leading down from the pool to discover the ground floor, which is primarily where the bedrooms are. There are six bedrooms with wooden floors and eight bathrooms at Villa One—four king bedrooms and two bedrooms with two twins each (which can be combined to create king bedrooms if desired). Each suite has an en-suite bathroom with shower, vanity, water closet, television, air-conditioning, wi-fi, and each has either terrace, a garden, or patio access. They are also decorated with high ceilings in driftwood panels.
Complimentary continental breakfast at Villa One means in-house dining services should definitely be booked through the complimentary concierge for evening affairs. A lovely dining set awaits a dinner alfresco beneath two rattan chandeliers near the pool. A butler and/or host attends all guests at Villa One and a housekeeper cleans daily, assuring that guests receive the finest service throughout their stay in every way.
A fitness room and a media room are added bonuses to this villa’s extensive list of amenities, but for those more inclined to the outdoors, One’s gardens are worth a stroll with tropical flowers blooming here and there, even throughout the villa itself. A short jaunt down a set of stairs on the far side of the infinity pool takes guests down to the white-sand beaches of Friendship Bay. Guests may enjoy the spa after a day out, and a fine view of the sunset over the sea. Lounge sofas on the veranda afford an excellent corner to wind down with wine and good conversation.
Villa One has a warm country appeal in its wood floors and vaulted driftwood ceilings, French ironwork balcony railings in pale island green, and soaring white spaces marked by unique, classic beauty but finer modern luxuries elevate the experience the way Villa One is elevated above the sea. Enjoy the sitting area by the indoor fountain and make a wish. Gaze up at the chandelier hanging in an unassuming corner stairwell. Drink in the wonderful delights offered up at Villa One, inside and out.
