Villa Peduzzi
Description
Occupying the site of a former medieval watchtower more than 800m above Lake Como, Villa Peduzzi boasts unbeatable views of the lake and surrounding mountains. The property is made up of a main villa and a separate pool house, and has no immediate neighbours, making it feel like a truly private paradise.
Originally built in 1909, the villa sits within 4.5 acres of lush gardens and landscaped outdoor spaces. Guests can take a dip in the heated infinity pool or sit back and relax in the Jacuzzi before drying off on one of the many sun loungers. There is a convenient changing room and WC carved into the rock face.
The pool house provides the ideal base for al fresco parties with a well-equipped kitchen, comfortable seating areas next to the floor-to-ceiling windows, and a grass-covered rooftop overlooking the lake.
Above this space, the villa’s terrace features two outdoor dining settings – one under a large pergola – perfect for enjoying a casual meal or glass of wine or two as the sun goes down over the mountains. After dinner, guests can make their way up to one of two rooftop terraces, one of which features a fantastic island bar and raised viewing platform overlooking the surrounding landscape.
Indoors, the villa has been lovingly restored and decorated with elegant and stylish interior design. There are two spacious and comfortable living areas to relax in. To keep guests of all ages entertained, there are satellite TVs, games consoles, and a sound system along with a pool table, and a variety of board games.
The attractive dining room is ideal for more formal meals and along with the pool house kitchen, there is also a fully-equipped kitchen plus a separate kitchenette inside the main villa.
There is a yoga and fitness room carved into the cliff face, directly overlooking the mountain and lake for a workout with awe-inspiring views. The steam room will relieve tired muscles after a gym session, and there is a shower and en-suite WC for added convenience.
Split over the three floors that are linked by a lift, many of the contemporary bedrooms feature a balcony with spectacular views, and most have en-suite facilities. The property comfortably sleeps 14 guests, though it is possible to accommodate additional children in smaller beds.
The sensational views, infinity pool and rooftop bar and terraces make Villa Rocco Peduzzi one of the most sought-after properties on Lake Como. It is the ideal choice for events, or for large groups of family and friends to enjoy a luxury lakeside escape.
