Description
Corales 26 is a six-bedroom villa in Corales, the enclave inside Puntacana Resort & Club with its own private beach and its own 18-hole PGA course, looking over the lake and the fairways. A private chef, a butler and a housekeeper come with the house, which the owner ranks among the crown jewels of the community. Fourteen guests, eight bathrooms and a one-of-a-kind pool table.
Six en-suite bedrooms sleep fourteen: four kings and two rooms with two queens each. We’d suggest it for two or three families who want the chef included from the first night, or for a golf group who want the Corales course’s 18 championship holes at the end of the drive. Of the Punta Cana villas we place, it’s the one with the art on the walls.
THE HOUSE
Large spaces, unique decoration and high ceilings, with a dining room for twelve, a sofa lounge, a balcony and a terrace with seating inside and out, and an area hung with original artwork around a pool table unlike any other. The kitchen is fully equipped, with a dishwasher, an ice maker and a coffee machine, and there’s an outdoor kitchen, a barbecue and a gas grill for eating outside. Cable and smart TV, Wi-Fi, a safe, a washer and dryer and a welcome pack are in the house.
THE BEDROOMS
Every bedroom has its own bathroom, air-conditioning and a ceiling fan. Bedrooms one to four have king beds; five and six have two queens each, for families. Eight bathrooms in all, with bath or shower, and hairdryers and toiletries in most.
THE POOL AND THE GARDENS
An expansive pool area with an outdoor lounge, a barbecue and a gazebo sits in lush gardens, with the lake and the fairways in view, a patio and a lawn. Beach towels are in the house; Corales has its own private beach, and guests may use two private beach clubs.
THE STAFF
A private chef, a butler and a housekeeper are included. An English-speaking concierge books tee times, tennis courts and excursions and can arrange grocery shopping, airport transfers, golf cart rental, yacht and catamaran charters, fishing, car and bike rental, a personal trainer, a massage therapist, live music and decorations, all on request. Breakfast can be booked.
THE RULES
Quiet hours are 10 pm to 9 am, parties and events need written approval, smoking is for designated outdoor areas, drones are not allowed in the resort, and pets are accepted only with written authorisation before arrival. The resort asks for every guest’s ID or passport at least 48 hours before check-in. A refundable damage deposit of 10 per cent of the rent is taken on arrival and returned five days after check-out.
THE LOCATION
Corales has its private beach, its lakes and 18 holes of championship golf; the wider resort adds seven restaurants and bars, another 27 holes at La Cana, twelve tennis courts, two beaches, a nature reserve and a marina. Puntacana Village, outside the gates, has eight restaurants, plus bars, shops and a pharmacy, and the Blue Mall is a few minutes away.
