Villa Solara occupies a private stretch of the Turtle Tail peninsula, on the quiet southern side of Providenciales, where the shoreline is rock and low scrub and the water shifts through every shade of turquoise before it reaches the horizon. The estate is recently built, its architecture clean and horizontal, set into the landscape rather than imposed upon it.
Seven bedrooms and eight bathrooms accommodate fourteen guests. Each room is finished with restraint — fine linens, considered furnishings, and views that make the case for an unhurried morning. Interiors are wide and filled with light, opening onto terraces and shaded outdoor rooms in a way that makes the distinction between inside and out largely academic.
The villa is fully staffed. A private chef cooks to the preferences of the house, a villa host attends to the details of the stay, and a housekeeper keeps the property in order throughout. The arrangement is discreet by design: present when needed, invisible otherwise.
Above the main house, a rooftop cinema looks out across the water. Films are watched under the Caribbean night sky, with the trade winds moving across the terrace and the sea darkening beyond — an evening that tends to be remembered long after the rest of the itinerary has faded.
For those inclined toward activity, the estate holds a private pickleball court fitted with basketball hoops, a beach volleyball setup, and bicycles for exploring the peninsula at leisure. Families settle into this easily; so do groups who arrive intending to do nothing and find themselves playing until dusk.
The pool terrace is the centre of the property. The infinity edge draws the eye out to the sea, loungers are set along the deck, and evenings begin here with a drink as the light goes gold and then low. Tropical planting encloses the terrace on three sides, so the sense of privacy is complete.
Solara suits both the large celebration and the quiet week — weddings, milestone birthdays, family gatherings held every few years by unspoken agreement. It is one of the more compelling estates on the island, and it rewards a longer stay.
