The Best Time to Go to Ibiza: A Month-by-Month Guide for 2027
The best time to visit Ibiza is June or September: warm days, a warm sea, the beach clubs and restaurants open, and more room than in July and August. High summer, from July to August, is the island at full volume, and October to April is the quiet island, with mild days and the old town to yourself. For summer 2027 there is one big change for American travelers: United flies nonstop from Newark to Ibiza for the first time, from May 31 to October 7. For June to September we suggest booking the villa nine to twelve months ahead, so for 2027 the time is now. See our Ibiza villa rentals.

Which season fits your trip
- June: the classic summer week. Summer weather with only about one day of rain in the month, the beach clubs and restaurants open, and the island not yet at its fullest. The best month for most families.
- July and August: Ibiza at full volume. The longest, sunniest, hottest weeks, every party and every table in demand. Choose the villa for the location: close to the beach clubs, or far enough away to sleep.
- September: the grown-up summer. The sea at its warmest, the closing parties and more space on the beaches. A good month for a celebration or a honeymoon.
- May and October: the quiet edges. Mild days, cooler evenings and a gentler pace, good for wellness, walking and long lunches.
- November to April: the island to yourself. Mild winters by American standards, the old town of Dalt Vila without the crowds, and villas that become the destination.
New for summer 2027: the first nonstop flight from the US
From May 31 to October 7, 2027, United flies nonstop between Newark and Ibiza four times a week, on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, with an Airbus A321XLR. Our advice: the flight runs four days a week, so choose villa dates that start and end on a Monday, Tuesday, Thursday or Saturday, and hold the villa before the flights.

How to choose your dates
- Start with the purpose of the week. A family beach week points to June or early September; the parties to July and August; a quiet reset to May or October.
- Book the villa first. For June to September, nine to twelve months ahead; the largest houses and the weeks of July and August go first.
- Fit the flights to the villa. Most villas ask for seven nights; on the Newark flight, pick dates that fall on its days.
- Plan the evenings. In high summer, the best beach club tables and restaurants book well ahead; your concierge holds them when you book the villa.
- Check what is open. From late October to April, many beach clubs close for the winter; the old town and the restaurants of Ibiza Town stay open.
How we plan an Ibiza stay
Every booking follows a 21-day pre-arrival plan: preferences and dietary needs captured, the house team briefed, the kitchen stocked and the transfers timed to your flights. Staff and hours differ from villa to villa, and we set them out in writing before you pay. Your 24/7 concierge arranges the private chefs, the boats to Formentera, the tables at the beach clubs and in Dalt Vila, the drivers and the transfers.
