Arrecife 30

Arrecife 30 is a modern seven-bedroom villa in the Arrecife community of Puntacana Resort & Club, with an expansive pool, a pool table, a hot tub, and a private chef, a butler and a housekeeper on the staff. Eighteen guests across seven suites, nine bathrooms, the beach and the golf close by.

Seven suites sleep eighteen: two kings, two queens, a room with two queens and two rooms with two kings each. We’d suggest it for three families together, or for a big birthday that needs a table for twelve inside and the outdoor kitchen for everyone else. Of the Punta Cana villas we place, it’s the one for the largest group with the fullest staff.

THE HOUSE

The design is modern and the rooms are big: high ceilings, air-conditioning, a sofa lounge, a dining room for twelve with seating indoors and out, a balcony, a terrace and a patio, plus a pool table and speakers for the evenings. The kitchen is fully equipped, with a dishwasher, an ice maker and a coffee machine, and an outdoor kitchen with a barbecue and gas grill is there for eating outside. Cable and smart TV, Wi-Fi, a safe, a washer and dryer, an iron and a welcome pack are in the house.

THE BEDROOMS

The owner counts five suites with their own bathroom and a walk-in closet; the room list shows six with an en-suite and one queen room, bedroom six, without. Bedrooms one and five have king beds, two has two queens, three and four have two kings each, and six and seven have queens. Air-conditioning throughout and ceiling fans in most rooms; nine bathrooms in all, some with a bath, hairdryers and toiletries in most.

THE POOL AND THE SETTING

The pool is the largest feature of the house, and there’s a hot tub as well, a lawn and garden, a patio and the golf course at the front. Beach towels are in the house, and guests can use the two beaches of the resort, which also runs seven restaurants and bars, 45 holes of golf, twelve tennis courts, a nature reserve and a marina.

THE STAFF

A private chef, a butler and a housekeeper make up the service staff, with an English-speaking concierge who arranges the rest on request: grocery shopping, airport transfers, cleaning, car, bike and golf cart rental, yacht and catamaran charters, fishing and water sports, excursions, a personal trainer, a massage therapist, live music and decorations for an occasion. Breakfast can be booked.

THE RULES

Quiet hours are 10 pm to 9 am, parties and events need written approval, smoking is for designated outdoor areas, drones are not allowed in the resort, golf carts are for drivers over sixteen with a licence or learner’s permit, and pets are accepted only with written authorisation before arrival. The resort asks for every guest’s ID or passport at least 48 hours before check-in. A refundable damage deposit of 10 per cent of the rent is taken on arrival and returned five days after check-out.

THE LOCATION
