Description
Caleton 57 is a four-bedroom villa at the centre of Cap Cana, every bedroom with its own bathroom and a balcony or terrace looking across the Punta Espada golf course to the ocean and the farallón rock. A cook, a butler and a housekeeper come with the house, the pool is heated, and the private beach clubs are near by. Ten guests.
Four en-suite bedrooms sleep ten: two kings, a room with two queens and a room with a king and two doubles. We’d suggest it for two families or two couples with children who want the staff in the rate and the Jack Nicklaus course next door, or for a golf four with partners who’d rather be at the beach club. THE HOUSE
High ceilings and generous rooms, with a dining room for twelve inside and a table for ten outside, a sofa lounge, a terrace, a deck and a patio in the garden. There’s an outdoor summer kitchen and an indoor barbecue and dining room called the konoba, with a gas grill and a barbecue for the evenings. Cable and smart TV, speakers and a stereo, Wi-Fi, a washer and dryer, an ironing board, books, a baby cot, beach equipment and a welcome pack are in the house.
THE BEDROOMS
Each bedroom has air-conditioning, ample closet space and its own bathroom, with a balcony or terrace off the room. Bedrooms one and four have king beds, bedroom two has two queens, and bedroom three has a king and two double beds for a family. One bathroom has a bath, a shower and its own private hot tub; three more have showers, and a fifth has a toilet. Hairdryers and toiletries in the four.
THE POOL AND THE SETTING
The pool is heated and sits in a lawned garden with the golf course at the front, with views listed as ocean, water, mountain and golf. A yoga studio and a bike for guests are on the property, and beach towels are provided. Guests have access to the private beach clubs near the villa.
THE STAFF
A cook, a butler and a housekeeper are included, with a bilingual concierge who books tee times, tennis and excursions and can arrange grocery shopping, airport transfers, golf cart rental, yacht and catamaran charters, fishing, car and bike rental, a personal trainer, a massage therapist, live music and decorations, all on request. Breakfast can be booked.
THE RULES
Quiet hours are 10 pm to 9 am, parties and events need written approval, smoking is for designated outdoor areas, drones are not allowed, and pets are accepted only with written authorisation before arrival. The resort asks for every guest’s ID or passport at least 48 hours before check-in. A refundable damage deposit of 20 per cent of the rent is taken on arrival and returned five days after check-out.
THE LOCATION
Cap Cana puts the Jack Nicklaus Signature course at Punta Espada, white-sand beaches, tennis courts, an equestrian centre, the marina and a run of restaurants and bars within reach.
