Corales 83

Corales 83 is a six-bedroom villa with an extraordinary interior courtyard in Corales, the enclave of Puntacana Resort & Club with its own private beach and 18-hole PGA course, with the golf course in view and a private chef, a butler and a housekeeper in the rate. The owner’s listing adds a heated pool, a jacuzzi, a sauna and a gym. Fourteen guests, eight bathrooms.

Six en-suite bedrooms sleep fourteen: four kings and two rooms with two queens each. We’d suggest it for two or three families who want the chef included and a house with character, or a group that will use a pool table and a courtyard more than a beach. Of the Punta Cana villas we place, it’s the one with the courtyard.

THE HOUSE

An extraordinary interior courtyard, unique decor and vast spaces, with original art on the walls and a pool table of its own. The social rooms have high ceilings, air-conditioning, a dining room for twelve, a sofa lounge, a balcony and a terrace with seating inside and out. The kitchen is fully equipped, with a dishwasher, an ice maker and a coffee machine, and an outdoor kitchen with a barbecue and gas grill is there for eating outside. Cable and smart TV, Wi-Fi, a safe and a washer and dryer are in the house.

THE BEDROOMS

Every bedroom has its own bathroom, air-conditioning and a ceiling fan. Bedrooms one to four have king beds; five and six have two queens each. Two of the eight bathrooms have a bath as well as a shower; hairdryers and toiletries throughout.

THE POOL AND THE GARDEN

An expansive pool area with an outdoor lounge, a barbecue and a gazebo, with lawn, garden and a patio, and the golf course in view. The owner’s title lists a heated pool, a jacuzzi, a sauna and a gym, none described further on the page, so we confirm all four before you book. Beach towels are in the house; Corales has its own private beach, and guests may use two private beach clubs.

THE STAFF

A private chef, a butler and a housekeeper are included. An English-speaking concierge books tee times, tennis courts and excursions and can arrange grocery shopping, airport transfers, golf cart rental, yacht and catamaran charters, fishing, car and bike rental, a personal trainer, a massage therapist, live music and decorations, all on request. Breakfast can be booked.

THE RULES

Quiet hours are 10 pm to 9 am, parties and events need written approval, smoking is for designated outdoor areas, drones are not allowed in the resort, and pets are accepted only with written authorisation before arrival. The resort asks for every guest’s ID or passport at least 48 hours before check-in. A refundable damage deposit of 20 per cent of the rent is taken on arrival and returned five days after check-out.

THE LOCATION

Corales has its private beach, lakes and championship golf; the wider resort adds seven restaurants and bars, 27 more holes at La Cana, twelve tennis courts, two beaches, a nature reserve and a marina. What is the minimum stay?
Three nights in summer, 1 May to 18 December, five over Thanksgiving, four in winter, 9 January to 30 April. From 18 December to 8 January, seven nights for Christmas alone, twelve for New Year alone, fourteen for both.

Are there extra charges?
