Description
Lagos 4 is a newly designed six-bedroom villa on the lagoons of the Lagos community in Puntacana Resort & Club, a quick golf cart ride from the beach and from the Indigenous Eyes reserve, with two dining areas, one of them open-air, and daily housekeeping in the rate. Twelve guests, seven bathrooms, two private beach clubs for guests.
Six bedrooms sleep twelve, the owner’s cap: four kings with their own bathrooms and two rooms with two double beds each. We’d put it forward for two or three families who want a new house on the water rather than on a fairway, or for three couples with children who’ll eat outside every night. Of the Punta Cana villas we place, it’s the newest on the lagoons.
THE HOUSE
The living spaces are expansive and newly appointed, with two distinct dining areas, one indoors and one open to the air, a dining table for twelve, a sofa lounge with seating inside and out, a balcony and a terrace, high ceilings and air-conditioning. The kitchen is fully equipped, with a dishwasher, an ice maker and a coffee machine, and an outdoor kitchen with a barbecue and gas grill is there for eating outside. Cable and smart TV, Wi-Fi, a safe, a washer and dryer and a welcome pack are in the house.
THE BEDROOMS
Bedrooms one to four have king beds, en-suite bathrooms, air-conditioning and ceiling fans. Bedrooms five and six have two double beds each with air-conditioning; the owner’s list doesn’t mark them en-suite. Of the seven bathrooms, one has a bath as well as a shower, five have a shower and the seventh is a toilet; hairdryers and toiletries in six.
THE POOL AND THE WATER
A pool, a patio and a lawn with the lagoons in front and the golf course in view; the house is lakefront. Beach towels are in the house, the beach and the Indigenous Eyes reserve are a quick golf cart ride away, and guests may use two private beach clubs.
THE STAFF
Daily housekeeping is in the rate. A personal chef is bookable for a fee. A bilingual concierge books tee times, tennis courts and excursions and can arrange grocery shopping, airport transfers, golf cart rental, yacht and catamaran charters, fishing, car and bike rental, a personal trainer, a massage therapist, live entertainment and decorations, all on request. Breakfast can be booked.
THE RULES
Quiet hours are 10 pm to 9 am, parties and events need written approval, smoking is for designated outdoor areas, drones are not allowed in the resort, and pets are accepted only with written authorisation before arrival. The resort asks for every guest’s ID or passport at least 48 hours before check-in. A refundable damage deposit of 20 per cent of the rent is taken on arrival and returned five days after check-out.
THE LOCATION
Puntacana Resort & Club has seven restaurants and bars, 45 holes of golf, twelve tennis courts, two beaches, a nature reserve and a marina.
