Which weeks book first for a Barbados villa?
Christmas and New Year book first, then Presidents’ Day. When we checked our calendars on November 1, 2026, only 6% of our Barbados villas were still free for Christmas week and 5% for New Year, against 27% for Thanksgiving and 43% for a March spring-break week. Christmas 2027 is already filling: 38% of the villas showed as free, thirteen months ahead.

What the minimum stay means for your dates
Over Christmas and New Year many houses ask for seven to fourteen nights, so a two-week stay, from December 19 to January 2, opens more houses than a single week. For the rest of the year, minimums are five nights at houses such as Monkey Manor and Westhaven and seven at The Great House. We confirm the minimum for your dates in writing before you book.

A starting point, chosen to show the range: a house with its own court at Sandy Lane, a beach estate for thirty in St Peter, and a golf house at Royal Westmoreland with a cook for three meals a day.
Casablanca
Set in the Sandy Lane area with views over its golf course, around an infinity-edge pool, a dining gazebo and a private singles court for tennis or pickleball. A cook, a butler, housekeepers and a laundress look after the house.
The Great House
Twelve suites across a beachfront main house, a carriage house, two garden cottages and Hillaby House, on two and a half acres with 100 meters of beach, an infinity pool, a floodlit tennis court and a cinema. It can also be rented with eight or ten bedrooms.
Monkey Manor
A four-bedroom main house and a two-bedroom cottage around a 50-foot pool, with a grand piano in the living room. A cook prepares three meals a day, and guests have access to the golf, tennis, fitness center and clubhouse of Royal Westmoreland.

Barbados villa rentals: the complete guide
Barbados is a coral island alone in the Atlantic, about 100 miles east of Saint Lucia, and its coasts are different places. Most of our villas are on the west coast, the Platinum Coast, where the Caribbean Sea is calm and clear enough to swim in most days of the year, and the sunset falls straight off the terrace.
Where the best villas are
The west coast runs from Bridgetown past Sandy Lane and Holetown to Speightstown. On the Sandy Lane Estate, the houses sit among gardens and golf; in Holetown, large houses stand directly on the beach, a few minutes from the restaurants; north of it, Porters and Reeds Bay have beachfront houses on smaller, quieter bays. Royal Westmoreland is a golf community on the hills behind the coast. In St Peter, Gibbes, Mullins and Speightstown have long beaches and some of our largest houses. The east coast, around Bathsheba, is the Atlantic side: cliffs, surf and wide views.
Villas for families and large groups
Most of our Barbados villas have four to seven bedrooms. For larger groups, The Great House sleeps 30 in twelve suites on its own stretch of beach, Laughing Waters has twelve bedrooms on four acres, The Ridge has eleven and can be rented from five, and Cove Spring sleeps 20 around a 75-foot pool. For families, the calm water of the west coast is the natural choice, and The Great House and The Ridge have room for three generations.
Getting to Barbados
Nonstop flights leave from Miami, New York, Charlotte and Atlanta: about three and a half to four hours from Miami and four and a half to five from New York. Every flight lands at Grantley Adams International Airport, near the south-east corner of the island, about 40 to 45 minutes from the west coast, and your concierge times the transfer to your flight. Driving is on the left, and US dollars are widely accepted.

The best time to visit Barbados
Barbados is warm all year, and kept breezy by the trade winds. The difference between the months is rain, the island’s calendar and the choice of houses.
High season
Lower humidity, steady trade winds and the island at its busiest. Christmas, New Year, Presidents’ Day and Easter are the most requested weeks.
The quiet shoulder
The end of the dry season and the start of summer: the same sea, warm days, fewer people and a wider choice of houses.
Crop Over
The summer festival builds through July to Grand Kadooment on the first Monday in August: the island at full volume.
The quiet months
Inside the Atlantic hurricane season, which runs from June 1 to November 30; Barbados lies near the southern edge of the hurricane belt, and late November is a quiet shoulder.

The east coast suits guests who want the Atlantic and quiet.
