Vinia
Description
Set in the heart of Chianti, Vinia looks out over the landscape that made Tuscany famous: rolling hills lined with vineyards, silver olive groves and the medieval wine villages of Castellina, Radda and Greve.
Recently restored, this ten-bedroom villa keeps its original character, with stone walls that hold the cool through summer, brick arches and warm terracotta floors, all paired with clean-lined contemporary furnishings. The main house has two lounges with quiet corners for reading or work and a large eat-in kitchen made for long family meals. A separate barrier-free annex has its own lounge, compact kitchen and dining area.
Nine hectares of gardens surround the house. A 16-metre panoramic pool, an island bar and an outdoor kitchen with barbecue sit at the centre of outdoor life, along with several alfresco dining areas for pizza nights from the wood-fired oven or films under the stars. A private wellness area adds a sauna, Turkish bath, heated spa pool and gym.
Vinia is for guests who want the countryside in full. The nearest village, with restaurants and shops, is about ten minutes by car, and Florence and Siena are both within an hour. Breakfast is served every morning, housekeeping comes daily, and a wine tasting with lunch at the estate winery is included in every stay.
