Spring is one of the best times of the year to travel, as the first flower buds appear and the cold days are almost gone, this season lights up great destinations worldwide. Many destinations begin to bloom and we think March and April are prime months to pack your bags and travel.
On Haute Retreats’s radar there’s a number of great places each has good reasons to explore. There are places perfect for adventure, others for relaxation so we includes our favorites that you can find below:
Bali, Indonesia
Bali, Indonesia has been on our bucket list since 2006 thanks to Eat Pray Love. Bali has become so popular that is going through over-tourism and also considered one of the top destinations for the best Instagram pics. But don’t worry if you go at the right time you can enjoy your vacation in Bali.
I believe spring is the best time for a Bali trip. The rainy season is almost over and don’t forget that from March 25 to 26, the Balinese observe Nyepi, a “day of silence” where not traveling or working is allowed. A true spiritual experience and wellness travel where you can observe nature, self meditate or have relaxing spa treatments at your private villa.
One of the best villa options we can suggest is the Sanctuary Bali in Canggu; a private and exclusive villa-resort only minutes away from some of the notorious surf breaks in Canggu. The Sanctuary Villa Bali is renowned for its premium five-star service: personalized, excellent and around the clock. 27 professional staff members are ready to create the perfect vacation for you.
One luxurious option is Amankila, a stunning resort, inspired by the water palace nearby Ujung and the Balinese culture. What makes this resort unique is the fact that it stretches from hilltop to private beach, the property lies within reach of atmospheric temples and artisan villages.
For those wanting a beach, Noku Beach House in Seminyak is the place where to stay.
The Caribbean: St. Barts and Turks & Caicos
St. Barts and Turks & Caicos are the two under-the-radar Caribbean islands that have welcomed big-ticket properties and prove to keep high standards and great professional services.
One of our favorites is Villa Wake Up in St. Barts, this luxury villa, located just above the edge of Flamands Beach in St. Barths, is an amazing six bedroom property for rent that features instant beach access and unique ocean views. What we believe is Haute about this villa is the high level of privacy and the wonderful location.
Aspen, Colorado
Aspen’s reputation of where to ski is ascendant, especially because Aspen accepted the challenge to compete with the European après ski scene. The same team as Montauk’s the Surf Lodge opened the Snow Lodge where the town dancing on tables in snow boots with some of the most spectacular concerts held at the base of Ajax. There are many events that include big names like Charlie XCX, Diesel, and Arizona. The après ski also include famous fashion brands like Jimmy Choo and Moncler that hosted dinners in Aspen.
The snowfall in March is decent and the I think March is one the best ski months of the year. If you are seeking a ski adventure with some après this is one of the best places to go.
San Jose del Cabo, Mexico
Los Cabos has become a must-visit for 2020 after so many new high-end hotels and resorts that recently opened. Haute Retreats is adding great villas in this destination but the one we are very excited about is La Datcha Los Cabos
