New Haute Retreats in Ibiza

Every visitor to Ibiza, a popular Balearic island talks about its amazing paradise atmosphere. Well, what about it? Talk about a picturesque warm atmosphere where you and your loved can enjoy your romance. There are many couples who love Ibiza for its amazing warm sundown hours which can be perfect for wedding occasions.

Located approximately 100 miles off Spain’s eastern coast, Ibiza is at 585 sq. km (225 sq. miles), it is the third largest of the Balearic Islands.

Ibiza features a jagged coastline, great beaches, whitewashed homes, cliffs, secluded bays, and a hilly terrain dotted with olive trees and fig. The temperatures are much warmer than Mallorca, and we consider it a better choice for a fall/winter vacation.

Playa Talamanca, in ciudad de Ibiza, Ses Figueretes and Playa d’en Bossa in the south are amazing white sandy beaches. If love excellent sands you should go to Las Salinas, in the South near the old salt flats.

Playa Cavallet and Aigües Blanques attract the nude sunbathers. Other good beaches include Cala Bassa, Port des Torrent, Cala Tarida, and Cala Conta — all within a short bus or boat ride from San Antonio de Portmany. The long sandy cove of Cala Llonga, south of Santa Eulalia del Río, and the white sandy beach of El Cana to the north, are sacred to Ibiza’s sun worshipers. The warm summer months, from late May to early October, are the busiest months, the island is beautiful in early spring when the almond trees are blossoming.

Ibiza is very easy to reach, there are many flights throughout Europe that fly into Ibiza International Airport. There are also ferries from the cities of Valencia, and Barcelona on the Spanish mainland, and from Palma on the nearby island of Majorca.

Ibiza is famous for its sunsets,

and many of Ibiza villas offer the most spectacular views.
Great spots where to have the most beautiful sunsets are Cala Conta, where the Sunset Ashram beach bar hosts live bands or located on the famous San Antonio strip, Café Mambo that offers a taste of the island’s nightlife scene. Cala d’Hort is a great choice with its spectacular views of Es Vedra, a small rocky island.

Ibiza is an excellent destination if you like scuba diving.

Clear, warm water of the Mediterranean where you can dive and see submerged shipwrecks, underwater caves and grassy seabeds, which play host to all sorts of fantastic wildlife.

You can spot a whale or a school of dolphins if you get lucky.
Another way to enjoy the island waters is snorkelling or explore one of the island’s many coves. Renting a yacht is also a great way to explore the island.
A popular day trip is going to visit Formentera, which is the smallest of the Balearic islands and can be reached by a short ferry trip or by private water taxi.
Forementera boasts unspoiled beaches, white washed villages, great restaurants. The Unesco-protected Ses Salines Natural Park is a haven for wildlife.
If you are looking for a great relaxing experience you should head to Platja de Migjorn beach, a four-mile stretch of white sand where you’ll find excellent chiringuitos (beachfront shacks serving up fresh seafood) and a number of laid-back bars and restaurants, the most popular spot remains the glitzy resort of Es Pujols.
Dalt Vila, in the local Catalan, or Ibiza old town was first settled over 2500 years ago. Rich in culture and history, Ibiza old town has great sights to visit. From the Ibiza Museum of Contemporary Art, housing a great collection of contemporary art pieces, to walks into the streets and secluded square ordering a sangria, Ibiza town is a beautiful place that you should visit.
