2027 in Los Cabos: the weeks that book first

Luxury travelers are booking further ahead than a year ago: in October 2026 Travel Weekly reported that a leading luxury operator’s median lead time in the US market has lengthened by 20%, and at Virtuoso Travel Week in August, advisors reported future leisure sales one and two years out up 50%.

For Christmas, New Year, Presidents’ Day and Easter the best houses in Palmilla, Pedregal and on the Corridor are confirmed 9 to 12 months before arrival, so the 2027 calendar is being written now. Choose a week to see which villas are free, or tell us your month and how flexible you are.

The Haute Retreats difference

What a stay with Haute Retreats includes

Los Cabos has no shortage of villas to rent. What we add is the planning before you arrive and the people on the ground while you are there.

The Haute Standard

A 21-day pre-arrival protocol on every booking: preferences and dietary needs captured, the house team briefed, provisioning set, transfers timed to your flights, and a written run-of-stay before you leave home.

Every hour of service in writing

Staff and hours differ from villa to villa, and we set them out before you pay. At Casa Elije in Palmilla, for example, a chef and wait staff serve from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., a butler works the same hours, and a masseuse is on hand six hours a day.

A welcome in person

Every guest is greeted in person on arrival with a welcome amenity chosen for the house, and a member of the local team is on hand throughout the stay.

A concierge for the whole cape

Private chefs, sportfishing from the marina, a sail to the Arch at sunset, tee times, drivers and transfers, arranged by your 24/7 concierge.

Destination guide

Los Cabos villa rentals: the complete guide

A villa is the way to see Los Cabos at your own pace. From a house in Palmilla, the old town of San José del Cabo is about a quarter of an hour away and the marina of Cabo San Lucas twenty to twenty-five minutes, so one day can hold a swim in a calm cove, lunch in town and the sunset from your own terrace. Los Cabos is sixth in our Billionaire Villa Index 2026.

Where the best villas are

Each stretch of the coast has its own kind of house. Palmilla, on the Sea of Cortez, is gated and beachfront, with a protected beach for swimming. Pedregal climbs the granite above the Cabo San Lucas marina on the Pacific side, where the villas face the sunset and the beach below is for walking rather than swimming. The Corridor between the towns has the protected coves of Chileno and Santa María, where guests swim and snorkel. San José del Cabo and Puerto Los Cabos, at the eastern end, are quieter, with the galleries of the old town and a marina of their own; beyond them, the East Cape is the wild shore.

Villas for families and large groups

Villa Vista Celeste in Pedregal takes up to 24 guests in ten bedrooms, with two separate casitas for a nanny or traveling staff. Villa La Datcha and Casa Elije each sleep 20 in ten bedrooms, and Cielito del Mar sleeps 18 in eight. For young children, Casa Roca De Pajaro has a shallow end in its pool and a separate casita for grandparents, and Villa Las Brisas is a short walk from a protected stretch of Palmilla beach.

Private chefs and staff

At Villas Del Mar 461 and Villas Del Mar 481, a personal butler and a private chef for breakfast and lunch are part of the stay. Villa La Datcha, Cielito del Mar, Mar Azul and Casa BellaMar are fully staffed, and at Mar Azul a cook for breakfast and lunch, a butler and a concierge come with the house. Elsewhere a chef can be added for any meal, and our concierge arranges it before you land.

Getting to Los Cabos

Most guests fly into Los Cabos International (SJD), with nonstop flights from many US cities. The drive is about 20 to 30 minutes to Palmilla, 25 to 35 minutes to Puerto Los Cabos and 40 to 60 minutes to Pedregal; private aircraft can also land at Cabo San Lucas, about 15 to 30 minutes from Pedregal. Your concierge times the transfer to your flight, and the villa is stocked before you arrive.

Minimum stays

Most of our Los Cabos villas ask for three to five nights for much of the year, five over Thanksgiving week and seven from mid-December to early January; Villa Gloriosa in Palmilla asks for five for the rest of the year. We confirm the minimum for your dates in writing.
